Baptism is the immersion of the believer in water in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. It is an act of faith and obedience to Christ, symbolizing the death of the believer to sin, and his resurrection to new life in Christ. (Romans 6:3-5, Colossians 2:12, Acts 2:41)
